Sew Your Own Elbow Patch

Hi, Grace here! As a leather worker, I'm always looking for creative ways to incorporate leather fabrics into my crafting. Recently, I thought it would be fun to patch up some of my favorite Fall sweaters that were looking a little worse for the wear. It was so much fun I knew I had to share it with our makers community. I've created a downloadable PDF pattern with instructions to guide you through your DIY patching. The materials you'll need are below. Share your pics with us on Instagram - I can't wait to see your finished product!

Materials needed:

  • Sweater or jacket
  • Lightweight leather, large enough to cut out two patches
  • Leather punch tool
  • Pen
  • Embroidery floss & needle
  • Fabric scissors
  • Downloadable patch pattern PDF

P.S. If you're local to Seattle, McPherson's Leather is a great place to source leather for this project!
