About this experience
Join us to create an eye-catching project exploring not one but two skills! Come learn the basics of macrame and weaving and create your own one-of-a-kind wall hanging! We'll start by tying some beginner-friendly macrame knots and then add some flair and unique textures by weaving with another material.
In this class you will learn:
- Two classic macrame knots: the larks head knot and the square knot
- How to space your macrame knots perfectly for weaving
- How to add color and texture by weaving onto your wall hanging
Go home with your 6-inch handmade wall hanging ready to be displayed and the knowledge to create more works of art!

Your Host
A self-taught macrame artist, Kulsoom tied her first macrame knot a few years ago and has been at it ever since. She is passionate about creating, enjoys using a variety of materials in her work, and is constantly learning and growing as a maker. In addition to teaching at The Works, Kulsoom owns a small business, Tile Timber N Thread, making handmade macrame goodies.
