Felted Bowls | March 8 | 2pm
Before learning how to knit and weave, we collected the wool from sheep to warm our bodies, and this ultimately lead to the first textile creations. Maria Lucia Londoño, the creator of Ata Felting Design, is visiting from Columbia to share her felting craft with us! With a Master's Degree in Textile Design Innovation from Nottingham Trent University in the UK, Maria is passionate about locally-sourced wool, natural dyes, and environmentally friendly artisanal felting.
In this 4-hour workshop, you will learn how to create felted bowls of different sizes and shapes by applying resistances.
