[End of Summer Special] Indigo Shibori - BYO Item

$20.00 per person

About this experience

Come use your newfound shibori skills at a special end-of-summer event! We've hosted our last dyeing class of the season and invite you to help us use up the remainder of our dye vats. Choose one of two one-hour sessions to dye one shirt-sized item.

At this one-hour event, you can:

  • Create designs using our variety of resists including rubber bands, wood supports, and twine

  • Learn the process for neutralizing an indigo dye vat

We hope to see you there!

Note: When working with indigo, there is always a possibility your clothes could get stained. We will have aprons and gloves for your protection, but please come wearing something that is not precious, ideally that is short sleeved.

Robin is a staff teacher as well as artist and designer. Last year she initially became intrigued with natural dyes as she could make her own watercolors with them. She climbed deep into the rabbit hole and made over 80 dye pots in the year! The process of making botanical watercolors has many similar properties to naturally dyeing and she’s excited to share the magic with you.
