Community Event: Art for Self Expression | August 31 | 6:30-8pm
Art therapy offers one the tools to move through feelings and self discovery through art with the guidance of an art therapist. Unfortunately art therapy is not always accessible for marginalized populations or those without specific insurance. In addition, some individuals may also have an aversion to working with a professional therapist. There are times when our emotions and needs can be fulfilled by our own selves with some tools to help us along the way.
Join us for this community event to learn some ways you can use art in your everyday life to process emotions and destress. While this is not a replacement for therapy, this is a way individuals can guide themselves through self discovering, healing and decompressing.
As a small step toward making The Works a space for everyone, this event is offered on a sliding scale. The suggested donation for this event is $10. Please pay what you can! Any ticket purchases above the suggested donation amount go toward funding free spots for others.
