Even though we may not be able to gather like normal, there’s an opportunity to be more gift conscious this year. Shopping small helps us give with more intention. When you buy a handmade gift, there’s love inside and a story behind each unique item. It’s personal. Sharing that with your friends and family can bring you together in meaningful ways that might surprise you.

In our shop, we have a lot of curated items from makers local and afar. But how do you pick that perfect gift to send to Auntie Sue? Well, we thought we might make it a little easier for you, by putting together The Works' Holiday Gift Guide to assist you in your holiday shopping journey. Studio Toujours Howlite Ear Studs

Hi! Im Kiya! I develop classes and kits for The Works, mostly food-related! My favorite thing in the shop are the Studio Toujours Howlite Stud Earrings! They’re simple enough to be out of the way for cooking and crafting, but still have an elegant and sparkly flair.

An everyday pair of studs, made exclusively with polymer clay and rose gold foil, and inspired by the beautiful textures of howlite found in nature. These earrings are extremely lightweight and perfect for all occasions. Your choice of white triangle studs or black circle studs.

Earring posts are rhodium plated over a .925 sterling silver core. Comes with a combo of butterfly and silicone backings so that you can pick your preference for a comfortable fit. Every pair of earrings comes boxed for safe storage and/or gift giving.

Studio Toujours is a Seattle-based brand with a focus on handmade items in small batches. Due to the handmade nature, no two pairs are the same.

Hand Dyed Shibori Face Masks

Hello friends! I'm Frankie! I'm a resident chef instructor, media editor, and marketing advisor for The Works Seattle. I think that one of the more special items we sell in our shop are our indigo dyed shibori masks. I'd never even heard of shibori until our very own resident craft Grace introduced me to her process!

These one-of-a-kind masks are handmade by Grace - shibori folded and hand-dipped in non-toxic, plant-based indigo. Due to the nature of the hand-dyeing process, each mask is completely unique and has its own beautiful pattern.

Made from 100% cotton, they are comfortable, washable, AND fun. The material is made by Hanes and offer three layers of coverage with breathable, moisture-wicking fabric. The ear loops are constructed from soft cotton yarn with internal rubber banding for a comfy personalized fit, while the adjustable nosepiece and front panel pleats provide contoured facial coverage. We wear these masks daily and love them!

Hi Kellie here, humble Founder + Owner of The Works! I’ve been obsessed with Forest Ceramic since the first time I saw Sean's ceramic art. Each tumbler takes an incredible amount of skill and his color combinations are truly unique! My favorite is his planet mug which is perfect for sipping coffee and pondering the universe.

These tumblers are a great addition to any collection. Handmade by Sean Forest Roberts on Orcas Island, Washington, each cup's exact swirls and planet designs are completely unique due to the patterning process.

Ginger June Candle Co.

Hello! Kait here! Retail nerd, coming through. 🚛 My role at The Works is to source new makers for the shop, get products listed online, and make them look beautiful on the shelves. When I’m not geeking out over new products, I help the team figure out our DIY kit logistics!

Right now I'm digging all of our candles from Ginger June Candle Co. I love how everything about them is intentional. The scents match the sentiments, the imagery on the candles is simple and lovely, and the soybeans for the wax are sourced from an eco-friendly farm in California! Also, a portion of the proceeds benefit animal rescue and rehabilitation. Even the way she ships her product is sweet (like branded paper tape and cute little stickers)

Ginger June Candle Co. candles are perfectly playful and funky and will totally brighten up your day! They are is 100% cruelty free and the fragrances are vegan, paraben, and phthalate free! The wax is made from sustainably sourced soybeans from a family down in Los Angeles.

Art By Ciara Prints

Hello, I'm Genesis! At The Works I get to collaborate with a team of badass powerhouse women on marketing strategy and have fun with social media and advertising. I also take on the role of unofficial cheerleader for all of the incredible work the team does!

My recommended holiday gift are any of the "Art by Ciara" prints! I love that her art uplifts you, inspires hope and kindness and represents women of color. Ciara is a Guam-raised, Bellingham, WA-based illustrator whose mission is to empower women and people of color through representation, which is a theme that runs without explanation through her work.

Each of these prints comes matted and ready to be framed and are a perfect reminder of just how unique and beautiful we all are. 🥰
