Alexis - the-works-seattle

Alexis LaFlamme is a local artist, mother, and activist. Her travels around the world have provided a rich canvas as she evolves as a successful abstract artist and creative facilitator. Her love for the artistic process took shape as she earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Literature, and her Masters degree in Education.

She focuses on acrylics and inks because of their rich colors. Her work is inspired by her emotions and the natural world, often focusing on water, leaves and stars.

Alexis has sold her artwork to private collectors, as well as having her works shown in galleries through the Pacific Northwest. Her mode of creative expression naturally merges with her love of education. Alexis teaches a wide variety of art classes locally through her business, Meditative Arts Seattle, which she started so others could learn to evoke emotion through color and form. Some examples of her creative sessions include: art journaling, block printing, intuitive painting, and inking glass.
