Whether you have a big backyard garden, a P-patch plot, or a few containers on your balcony, come learn everything you need to successfully grow food at home.
In this 1.5-hour class, you will learn:
- The difference between annuals and perennials, including what edible crops grow best in our climate
- Which seeds to start directly inside and which to start indoors, and how
- How to tackle the timing of getting plants in the ground with enough time for them to yield food
- Everything you need to know about light, water, and feeding
Get hands-on making biodegradable newspaper pots and choose from a mix of seasonally appropriate seeds to plant and take home: lettuce, kale, cucumber, peas, cilantro, scallions, summer squash/zucchini.
